WELCOME to the Ottawa Chapter of Muskies Canada

Originally called the “Ottawa Valley” Chapter, we’ve been a focal point for muskie anglers from all over the Ottawa/Gatineau region since 1988. Our membership is comprised of experienced and novice anglers, young and old, ladies and gentlemen … all with a shared passion for the largest game fish in Eastern Ontario.

Meeting Location

Meetings are held at 7:00 PM, on the third Monday of every month in the 2nd floor bar area of Branch 632 of the Royal Canadian Legion, 800 Taylor Creek Drive in Orleans (MAP)  If you’re curious about what the Chapter and the club is all about, non-members are welcome to attend any meeting.  Please make yourself known to the Chapter as we normally begin with a chance for new and prospective members to introduce themselves and say hello.

Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been chasing muskies for 30 years, we try to present meetings that have something for everyone with an emphasis on learning something new and having some fun doing it. We have a range of speakers from some of our own members with various expertise, to guest speakers who talk about tackle, equipment, electronics, boat maintenance, bait makers, biology, research projects and reports from folks who have done trips to exotic muskie waters. At least once a year (normally in the spring) we do a pizza night and tackle swap where some excellent deals can be had – especially for those who are just starting out. We do our best to keep the club “business” to a minimum and the enjoyment to a maximum

Upcoming Meetings and Events

Our next meeting will be held Monday, March 20th, 7pm at the Legion (800 Taylor Creek Drive).
Dr. Sean Landsman and Jamie Sebastien will deliver a joint presentation on the Petawawa River research project covering the science and the “logistics” of the project. If you have volunteered to provide angler support, or you are just curious as to what the project is all about, it will be a can’t miss meeting!
This month’s meeting also marks the second of our quarterly bait makers / vendors night. A fantastic opportunity to pick up a new bait or two for the upcoming season, and support your members crafting efforts.
