An ethical and “contactless” tournament
The capture-photo-release formula ensures minimal stress applied to fish. Captured northern pike are not removed from their habitat or dropped into a holding tank for weighing. Handling is thus reduced to a minimum.
A handy measuring ruler
The official tournament ruler remains mandatory this year. For new participants, it is necessary to register your team with the option to purchase the 2024 ruler. Teams that still have their 2022 or 2023 ruler can save $22 on their registration by choosing the “2022-2022 ruler” registration. Built in aluminum, it can be useful to you long after the tournament. If you have chosen the option to purchase the 2024 ruler, you must pick up the ruler at one of our five pick-up locations, which will open in March. All you have to do is contact the the pick-up point to make an appointment, details under the ruler section of the official tournament rules.
Two “Lunker” prizes
A “lunker” prize will be awarded for the longest pike caught between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and a second “Lunker” prize will be awarded for the longest pike between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Note that the winning team of the morning “lunker” is excluded from the afternoon “lunker” ranking.

The mystery length prize
The morning of the tournament we will announce to all participants a random length for this competition. The first team to enter a pike that is exactly the mystery length will win the mystery length prize. If there is no entry for the exact length entered, the prize will go to the team that catches the first pike with the measurement closest to the mystery length.
