The Jim Herod Memorial Award honours someone that made an outstanding contribution in the areas of Outreach and Education. These are important parts of the MCI mandate but often overlooked. Working with partners, influencing fisheries managers, getting kids involved, getting attention from media, holding seminars or educational events, there are plenty of good things done each year across the chapters.
