Davin Heinbuck has been the National Research Director at Muskies Canada for 18 years, and was the Muskies Canada Science Advisory Committee Chair from 2014-2024, and currently co-leads a team on the Grand River Muskellunge Re-introduction initiative. He was inducted into the Muskies Canada Hall of Fame in 2023. he has logged plenty of time fishing waters across Central, Southern, and Eastern Ontario in pursuit of Muskies. For a brief stint from 2005-2008 he was a field contributor to Esox Angler Magazine. He manages to fit in several extended trips per year, and has logged over 1100 Muskies between himself and his boat partner, with 65 of those stretching the tape to 50 inches and beyond.
