Upcoming Meetings and Events

To All Muskie Canada members:

With muskie season well underway and before temperatures get into the sub-zero temperatures,  We would like to host a fun/free  day of muskie fishing on a nearby lake so members could take out their children to a fun day of Muskie and pike fishing. We are including Pike in the fishing so kids can have a better chance at catching a fish. If your child has a friend, bring them along! If you dont’t have a child but have a friend that does, bring them along! This day will be for the kids!
There will be a BBQ hotdog lunch, with juice boxes served at 12 Noon for both kids and parents.
The location will be Corry Lake, a lake a short distance away from Petawawa, with ample parking and beach area. This lake is a small lake,  so if you have a small boat it should not be a problem to have kids on board. For larger boats, it has a beach style boat launch. (Similar to Black Bay). If you do not have a boat, and wish to participate with your child, please let me know as soon as possible so we can accommodate you in a boat.
A group picture will be taken at 8:50 am
A prize will be given to the child who catches the biggest fish! ( Pike or Muskie).
In order to have sufficient lunch for everyone, please let me know as soon as possible if you will be attending and the number of people in your group.
Date: Saturday Oct 30, 2021
Time:  9am to 3 pm
Location: Corry Lake (Beach/Boat Launch area) You may also fish Otterson Lake

Those keys are: identifying productive musky locations, presentation techniques, and tips for triggering muskies into striking. In addition he will teach you seasonal movements and locations, also how to quickly identify and exploit current patterns. As Pete states: “It’s keeping an open mind and constantly trying new techniques, that make it possible for me to consistently boat trophy muskies in a variety of conditions.”

MCI Upper Valley Chapter

G’Day from the Upper Valley, Established in January 2006, the Upper Valley Chapter is based in the Ottawa Valley in Eastern Ontario, with membership stretching from Arnprior through to Petawawa.

Due to the ongoing Pandemic of Covid 19, we are not hosting in person meetings. All of our meetings are being conducted on line via Zoom. We are having one monthly meeting.

With the world-class fishery of the Ottawa River and its many tributaries at our doorstep, there are a variety of opportunities for both the novice and seasoned muskie angler. We have a wealth of local muskie enthusiasts from near and far which makes our meetings informative, educational, and always entertaining.

Our chapter is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of the local sport Muskie fishery, with an emphasis on public education and sharing of knowledge and ideas. We are strong believers in catch photo and release, If you have any questions on the Upper Valley chapter , feel free to contact via email Jaime Sebastian our A/Chairperson at   fishwithjaime@gmail.com

Hope to see you all this season and at our Chapter outing…see below noted link.
